Great Rift Valley

My study is the East African Great Rift Valley located in East Africa. The Great Rifty Valley is near a divergent plate boundary. The Rift Valley is splitting into 3 parts, and another ocean may occur, like the Red Sea. A theory for the cause of this is that hot spots may be the cause.

The aspect of earth science my study 'comes under' is volcanoes. The earthquake frequency is high. The Rift Valley has a very nice environment, and was formed by volcanic/mountain formation. Other studies related to my topic is the study of faults.


This is a great place because it's beautiful!	Views are great	Very geologically unstable place
