Centripetal Force

The famous film from the 1960's, Frames of Reference, introduces a number of topics crucial to
circular motion. (1) Moving in a circle is moving in an accelerated reference frame even if one's speed is constant. (2) In such a noninertial reference frame, a "fictitious" outward or centrifugal force is often hypothesized. (3) Movement in such a circling reference frame can result in the sideways Coriolis
effect, another real effect but fictitious force. (4) Even the cycloid, a point on a rolling circle, is shown. There must be an inward or turning force, the Centripetal Force whenever there is a curved path.
