NICE
We flew into Nice to
start our Rick Steves tour of eastern(?)
Don’t tell Sally how
much I paid for the cab!
(I wanted to make it
look like I could get us around this country!)
Hotel St Georges had a
great little garden and informal reception.
We did get our first
taste of small hotel rooms and croissants!
We took a nice walking
tour of Vieux (Old) Nice.
Toni & Alan took
us all out for our first dinner.
On our own, we had to
search for the

following after people?
We had our first big
adventure, daring to take the train to…
Yes, we left Nice on
our own!
Villefranche-sur-mer & Monaco
The hike up the hill
to the palace was just our ‘speed’.
And at least we can
say we made it to
