Directions
From Hwy 101 take Main St (out of Santa Maria)
Pass Guadaupe's cemetery to the state beach.
Tell them you know the rules. No dogs from...
And stay out of the Western Snowy Plover nesting grounds!

Hiking Directions
It's no more than an hour for the beach walk.
Before the end take the last foredune up.
Follow the footsteps and up the ridge but not to the top.
Did we say: Hike this is cool weather after a rain?
Hike down to Mussel Rock or at least go further to view Paradise Beach!
If you decide to go for the beach and take the rope down...
Cross the stream and move along a narrow path halfway up the cliff face.
Pick a set of footprints to follow down to the beach and the dropoff!
Upper body strength and perhaps gloves(?) will help pull you up on the return!
