(1) From Sacramento take I-5 north to Hwy 32, then east out of Orland. (2) From Sacramento take Hwy 99 north right into Chico. We were hosted by my fellow math teacher from Palos Verdes Peninsula in Los Angeles, Dave Calkins, and his wife Nancy. They had met in Chico as students and have now returned.
