| Forester's Tern (hovering then diving into the water) |
| Marbled Godwit (Big,cinamon color,long upturned bill colored orange to black) |
| Long-billed Dowitcher (5 inches shorter,'sewing machine' bill action) |
| White Pelicans in the distance. Brown Pelicans skimming the water! |
| Snowy Egret moves by stirring up the mud. |
| Avocets get the orange color later during mating season. (side-to-side bill action) |
| Northern Pintail with the white in the chest and up their necks. |
| Red-winged blackbirds were noisy. White-crowned Sparrow in the bush. |
| We saw two active, screeching Red-shouldered Hawks(white bands in the tail) |
| Killdeer sounds funny and has broad black chest bands. |
| A few Willets flew by with their striking black and white wing markings. |
| Returning we saw three Black-crowned Night Herons and a Great Blue Heron. |
| The Black Brant geese will fly from Alaska in 36 straight hours later in the year. |
