Directions |
| From Hwy 1 in Oceano (south of Grover Beach & Pismo Beach), turn toward the beach at Pier Avenue. |
| Drive to the end and use the Pismo State Beach parking lot. |
| Walk south on the beach avoiding the atv's as you enter the Oceano Dunes Recreation Area. |
| Cross little Arroyo Grande Creek and go left entering the Pismo Dunes Natural Preserve. |
| I think the new names replace 'Pismo' with 'Oceano' especially since the preserve, vehicular recreation area, and dunes are all in Oceano, not Pismo Beach. |
| The 'Grand Dunes Hike' starts at the end of Grand Avenue in Grover Beach. |
