High Tower is an elevator to a terrace of homes on the hill. It's fun to try to find, but you'll need a key to run the elevator! If you'd like to walk to the top of the elevator, there's a path and stairs on the west side of the street. Just go straight on North Sycamore out of the Yamashiro parking lot or turn up Camrose Drive off of Highland.
Franklin Avenue
runs
parallel to and just north of Hollywood Blvd.
If you
miss
Sycamore
turn north
on Orange to the
Magic
Castle!
Wattles Gardens Park (Mansion) 1858 (1824) North Curson Ave Los Angeles, CA 90019
Turn north on Curson
off of Hollywood Blvd.
The park is narrow and the gardens are closed to the public. Hmm.
You'll need an appointment to get into the mansion and see the Japanese garden.
Mulholland Drive ends at Cahuenga Blvd. Before getting there, you'll pass by the entrance to the north end of Runyon Canyon Park. Also stop at the viewpoint and see the Hollywood Sign to the east and the Hollywood Bowl to the south. Take Cahuenga Blvd south and turn into the Hollwood Bowl to visit the Hollywood Bowl Museum (free). It's closed on Sundays but then Sally noticed the Hollywood Bowl Gift Shop was open.
