PETER McCANN
b. Connecticut, USA. Peter McCann was
best known for his 1977 Top 5 single “Do You Wanna
Make Love”, and as the author of “Right Time Of The
Night”, a Top 10 hit for Jennifer Warnes that same
year. McCann joined a folk-rock group called the Repairs in 1971, while
attending college, and in 1973, when the group split, he joined the staff of
ABC Music Publishers. He wrote and recorded “Do You Wanna
Make Love” while employed by that firm (it was issued on 20th Century Records),
and simultaneously Warnes scored a hit with his other
composition. After his glory year of 1977, however, McCann appears to have kept
a low profile.
