Exit Linden Avenue toward the beach

Go to the beach and turn right on Sandyland Road

Go to the 'T' and park near the entrance along Ash Avenue

Tar Pits Park (Bring WD-40 to get the tar off!)

From Carpinteria State Beach either (1) follow the sandy beach southeast

or (2) walk the campground road to the grassy bluffs

Chevron Oil Pier is a good turnaround point

Another half mile to the Carpinteria Bluffs
