Powell St depression |
Three right lateral faults run north-south in the San Francisco area.
From west to east, they are the San Andreas, Hayward and Calaveras.
The Hayward & Calaveras faults run together near Hollister.
Calaveras Fault runs thru Locust Street (which becomes Powell St), Fremont Way (Alley), Wentz Alley
across 4th, 5th, and 6th streets and through Dunne Park.
South of Dunne Park, the trace and it's effects are not so evident?
