Take the well-signed Obrien Exit off the I-5. It wasn't crowded during a spring break weekday, and the weather was great. The boat ride and air-conditioned shuttle bus were short but fun. The caverns can be wet. There are a lot of steps and it can be a little 'close' at spots.
