Lower Falls was easy. Just drive up and enjoy the river and small falls. In the summer it's crowded with kids jumping into the waterfall pool.

Okay, we were a little early in the year (end of March) to go to the Middle and Upper Falls. The campground was closed and the McCloud River Loop had snow on the road. (We were able to just back down the road when Jim couldn't get the SUV through the snow!) Still, we were lucky. It didn't rain or snow and so we hiked right through the little bit of snow in Fowler's Campground toward campsite #31 and the Middle Falls Trailhead. The walk along the river was level and easy. The falls were as beautiful as advertised.
