Move on to Tok

8:30PM Tuesday evening the train rolled into Fairbanks.
In a few minutes we were in our own cabin at Rivers Edge Resort
with air conditioning!

Wednesday - June 23, 2004
8AM Bags out - Breakfast at Chena's on the river! (It's still cool!)
Sally likes the flowers in Anchorage and here too.
While eating breakfast, we notice a tree branch making a wake in the river!
After all the beaver dams we saw along the road, we finally get to see two.
One towing a branch across the river taking it down into its den.
A second one eats and/or gnaws at a smaller branch before taking it down also.
9AM Our own deluxe motorcoach #862 with Tammy as our highway host!
Short historical city tour (They moved a catholic church across a frozen river!).
Nearby in Fox we visited Gold Dredge #8.
Slide show, dredge tour, gold panning, gift shop, stew lunch.
We saw the Alaskan Oil Pipeline surface over the permafrost.
Then we were off to Tok. ETA 6PM
